Mushbit Acceptable Use Policy
Version aup-2026-10-09 · Effective 9 October 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") explains what you may not do with Mushbit Drive and any other Mushbit service that refers to it (the "Services"). It forms part of our Drive Terms of Use. Mushbit Inc. ("Mushbit", "we") may update it as described in those Terms.
2. Content you must not store or share
You must not use the Services to store, share or distribute:
- child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors;
- intimate images of a person shared without their consent;
- content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- malware, viruses or other harmful code, except as part of legitimate security work that does not put the Services or anyone else at risk;
- content that promotes or supports terrorism or violent extremism, or incites violence;
- content used for fraud, phishing or scams;
- personal data of other people obtained or disclosed unlawfully, such as leaked credentials or doxxing; or
- any other content that is illegal where you are, where the recipient is, or in the United States.
3. Activities you must not carry out
You must not:
- try to access other people's accounts or files, or any part of our systems or of hosts' computers, without permission;
- probe, scan or test the security of the Services without our written permission (if you believe you have found a security vulnerability, report it to legal@mushbit.com);
- interfere with or overload the Services or the storage network, including by attacks or automated abuse;
- create several free accounts to obtain more storage, or otherwise get around plan limits;
- use the Services mainly as a public file-distribution or content-delivery service for large audiences;
- resell or sublicense the Services without our written permission; or
- use the Services in violation of US sanctions or export control laws, including through a VPN or false information.
4. How we enforce this Policy
If we find or are told about a breach, we may, depending on how serious it is:
- remove or disable access to the content or disable a shared link;
- limit features of your account;
- suspend or close your account; and
- report the matter to the competent authorities.
We act in proportion to the breach. Where the law requires, and when it is safe to do so, we tell you what we did and why, and you can ask us to review the decision by replying to our notice. For child sexual abuse material we act immediately, close the account and report it as the law requires, without prior notice to the account holder.
5. Reporting a breach
To report content or activity that breaks this Policy, follow our Copyright and Abuse Policy.
